Honda CBX description

1982 Honda CBX - the motorcycle that invented the sport touring category.

Over $1600 in preventive maintenance in the last 200 miles -- new tires, chain, valve adjust, carburetor sync, fork seals, brakes, etc. etc. Fresh oil change and filter. K & N air filter installed and just serviced. Ready to ride anywhere.

I just rode the bike today and (as usual) everything (except the clock) works perfectly. Completely stock except for Fiamm horns (stock horns included).

Corbin seat (shown in photos) has wear, and has been replaced with stock unit. Buyer can have either seat (your choice).

The power and torque of this motorcycle make riding in any gear a dream come true. Six cylinders are smooth as silk.

Original complete tool kit (including tire gauge) and owners manual included.

Selling due to recent hip replacement making the rear brake pedal problematic for me. Adult ridden and maintained (I am 61).

No reserve auction. I reserve the right to end this auction early as the bike is advertised elsewhere. Less than normal nicks and smudges for the miles. Nothing broken. Bike can be seen in Mineral Bluff, GA during the auction by appointment. Shipping if the responsibility of the buyer. I may agree to help by transporting to a more convenient location. Good Luck!

Press Launches - the ugly truth. Part 1

Thu, 31 Mar 2011

For the nosey amongst you, you might be interested to know what goes on during a 'press launch'. The phrase is used in passing in new model reports as if you should all know what it is. Like some kind of given.

And it's goodbye from him

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

THIS IS Valentino Rossi's farewell letter to his Fiat Yamaha team following the announcement the flambouyant Italian is to head to Ducati MotoGP in 2011.The hand-written letter, mistakes and all, is written in almost a 'my first romance' kinda way. It's touching, if a little bizarre. Some of the letter reads:“Unfortunately even the most beautiful love stories finish, but they leave a lot of wonderful memories, like when my M1 and I kissed for the first time on the grass at Welkom, when she looked straight in my eyes and told me ‘I love you!'"Somehow, we can't see Casey Stoner gushing quite as freely when he leaves Ducati for Repsol Honda.
