Honda CBX description

                           1980 HONDA CBX—Showbike, Collectible, Rider

Pristine condition. No scratches, dings, dents or scuffs

Retired CEO downsizing personal motorcycle collection.

This is a magnificent example of Honda’s 1980 CBX…the flagship of the Honda line from 1978 through 1982. Original and immaculate in every way, this CBX never fails to draw attention and admiration. From its mammoth six cylinder engine to its finely preserved finish and bright work, it’s a beautiful, reliable machine.

If you are interested in a meticulously maintained CBX, I encourage you to look at the photos and enlarge them to fully appreciate the condition of this bike. It has just had carbs and hydraulic brakes rebuilt with factory Honda parts. Interior of gas tank cleaned and flushed, no rust.

Everything on this bike works correctly—electrical parts, switches, lights, gauges, horn. Engine starts easily with minimal choke and pulls strongly and smoothly from idle to redline. Clutch, transmission, chain and sprockets are all excellent. Battery is new. Factory Honda crash bars around engine. Bike has concealed, easily-accessible Battery Tender connection for storage or display. Rear tire is excellent, front tire is fair.  Original factory tool kit is included.

Now 33 years old, this bike can be enjoyed as a collectible, show bike, or rider. Also great conversation piece with its imposing engine, six exhaust headers, six carburetors, and twenty-four valves, and its gleaming original factory paint. Engine and frame numbers match. Located in Birmingham, Alabama.

Bike also comes with like-new, custom Corbin Touring saddle. See photos.

Bid with confidence. Buy a landmark machine in magnificent condition. This is one of dozens of my personal, collectible motorcycles I have sold to satisfied eBay buyers.  More bikes to come.

Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.
