Honda C110 Sport 50 description

Honda C110 Sport 50
Completely restored to Museum-Ready Condition

This Honda Sport 50 has led a cherished life.  It has been in the ownership of a Honda employee or Honda retiree its entire life.  The bike went through a comprehensive restoration years ago utilizing mostly NOS parts.  The bike is completely original with exception of the front fender mudflap which is being replaced due to rubber rot with an quality reproduction.  While all parts were well lubricated upon assembly, the bike has not been run or had fuel in it since the restoration.  The bike has been in a climate controlled environment (our living room) since restoration.  Even the battery is NOS dry-charged.

This is not your typically over restored example, but rather a bike that was rebuilt extensively with NOS parts and, therefore, looks like the bike that would have been on the Honda dealer showroom floor in 1965.  Unpainted plastic parts, like the front fender for example, have some slight burnishes, but those are typical of how the bikes looked on the showroom floor.

The bike is fitted with a NOS speedo and the actual mileage is unknown, but that is immaterial considering the engine was rebuilt with NOS parts, as were all wheel and fork/swingarm bearings and seals.
This is essentially a new bike.

This bike deserves to go into a museum or private collection - it is that good.

Local pick up is recommended.  If shipped, I'd recommend that the bike be crated for safe transport.  The thing is tiny and light, but could be easily damaged.

This is a vintage bike that has been restored several years ago and has not be run or ridden since.  No warranty is provided or implied.  No returns.

Although street legal and provided with a title, this bike needs to continue its life as a piece of motorcycle history in the hands of respecting collector.

Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.

Taylor Made Racing, best known for its underbelly exhausts for many of today’s popular sportbikes, is tackling perhaps its biggest challenge yet: designing and testing its own Moto2 machine. Assuming testing goes to plan, the team hope to enter as a wildcard entry in the Red Bull Indianapolis MotoGP Grand Prix, Aug. 16-18.
