Harley-Davidson Sportster description

2012 Harley Davidson 1200 Custom with <200 miles and $5K in Chrome and other upgrades.

This bike was won and featured in an HD contest (see a video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTeahUSECjk) Work and life have not allowed me to ride her and due to a soon to be garage-less new address (she's always lived a sheltered life), it's time to sell. I promise not to discuss the amount of taxes and insurance I've paid for the less than 200 miles she's seen. YES, that's not a typo. She has LESS THAN TWO HUNDRED Miles.

Base MSRP on this bike is $10,649 BEFORE the $5K of factory/dealer-installed chrome and other upgrades.

Bike features:
- Vivid Black Paint (For the true bad-ass)
- Pull-Back Handle Bars
- $460 Black Laced Wheels
- $350 Quick-Release Windshield (Saftey First!)
- $250 Black Engine (murdered out!)
- $250 Reduced-Reach Seat (great for those of us on the smaller side)
- $300 Screamin' Eagle Street Performance Slip-on Mufflers (So they can HEAR you!)
- $30 Sportster Loud Horn Kit (MORE NOISE!)
- $210 Chrome Engine Guard (You can't have too much Chrome!)
- $105 Chrome Oil Tank Cover
- $150 Chrome Oil Level and Temp Dipstick with lighted LCD Readout
- $330 Chrome Clutch Bracket and Master Cylinder Reservoir Kit (really makes the handlebars shine!)
- $120 Chrome Skull Teardrop Mirrors
- $90 Chrome Upper Belt Guard
- $90 Chrome Lower Belt Guard
- $50 Chrome Skull Fuel Cap
- $150 Dark Custom Number 1 Skull Derby Cover
- $65 Dark Custom Number 1 Skull Timer Cover
- $115 Dark Custom Number 1 Skull Air Cleaner Trim
- $180 Black Sportster Detachable Solo Rack (So you can strap on your gear!)
- $80 Stealth Hand Grips

To make her ready for you, she just went to the shop (at a dealer, I know I know, I paid extra at a dealer) for a new battery and tune-up.

Harley-Davidson Adds Twin Cam 96 and 103 Engines to Factory Remanufacturing Program

Tue, 17 Jan 2012

Harley-Davidson has added the Twin Cam 96, Twin Cam 103 and 2003-2006 CVO Twin Cam 103 engines to its engine remanufacturing program. The program, which previously accepted 1984 and newer Evolution 1340, Twin Cam 88, Twin Cam 88B and Twin Cam 95 powerplants, takes used engines, rebuilds and repaints them. Customers can take their existing Harley-Davidson motorcycle to a dealer which will remove the engine and send it back to the factory.

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...

2015 Harley-Davidson Freewheeler Revealed

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

It’s no surprise, as we’ve already seen the spy photos and California Air Resources Board documents, but Harley-Davidson has officially introduced its new Freewheeler trike, adding a second three-wheeled model to go with the Tri Glide Ultra Classic. Whereas the Tri Glide is designed for touring needs, the Freewheeler is more of a cruiser with 12-inch mini-ape-hanger handlebars and bobtail fenders. Up front is a seven-piece nacelle with a dual halogen lamp mounted tight to the 49mm telescopic fork and frame.
