Harley-Davidson Sportster description

2004 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 1200 Roadster, Very very nice Sportster with low miles, full service inspection and more! - We’re not claiming fun was invented in 1957. But by all accounts, that’s when a good deal of it was discovered – the year the Sportster line was born. With it came a torque-laden V-Twin, a lean frame and good times. Since then, the Sportster has changed, but it’s never forgotten its purpose. If you need to get reacquainted with what that is, we offer the new, rip-roaring Sportster 1200 Roadster. It starts with a rubber-mounted Evolution engine, in silver and black powder-coat. It’s stronger and quicker, thanks to high-compression, high-flow heads and performance cams. Every trip through the gears is pure excitement. The frame retains the fabled XL agility, so winding roads are more like asphalt playgrounds. We finished with a wide polished bar, aggressive two-up seat, tach with a 6000 RPM redline and classic two-tone tank with vintage graphics. Yet again, the Sportster makes you smile. Availability of colors may vary from dealer to dealer, and is subject to change without notice. Want to Buy the Pope’s Harley?

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

In February, Bohnams auction house in Paris will allow both the Catholic and the Harley faithful to bid on a Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide owned by none other than Pope Francis, himself. Given to the Pope last year as part of the Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary celebration, the bike was unlikely to become the Popecycle because of the security required to protect the pontiff. The Pope donated the Dyna to the Roman Catholic charity Caritas Roma but not before signing the tank with “Francesco” at a special ceremony at the Vatican last November.
