This bike pays homage to classic Brit cafe racers, but retains the soul and presence of Harley Davidson.
A stock 1200. The only mechanical mods are Vance & Hines 2into1 with carburetor idle and main jets up-sized. This bike starts, idles, runs, accelerates, handles and breaks perfectly. A list of changes/mods to cafe racer... Turn signals removed. Repainted black with custom "The Sportster" sticker (a-la "The Vincent") this can be easly pealed off. Rear fender removed, replaced with fiberglass solo seat. Rear set brake and gear shifter. Head pipes ceramic coated by Jet-Hot performance coatings. Clubman bars. Stainless mini gauges. Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season
Wed, 04 Dec 2013More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.

2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout Unveiled at Daytona Bike Week
Fri, 08 Mar 2013In a rare move, Harley-Davidson has unveiled a base version of its Breakout months after first launching the exclusive Custom Vehicle Operations version. Presented at the 2013 Daytona Bike Week, the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout offers a similar low and muscular profile as the CVO version but at prices starting at $17,899 compared to the premium model’s $26,999 price point. Tom Roderick reviewed the 2013 Harley-Davidson CVO Breakout last August, saying it “continues the tradition of exclusivity, performance and style customers have come to expect from Harley-Davidson’s Custom Vehicle Operations.” But take away the premium CVO features and what do you have?
