2000 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom. Bought in 2002 with 4800 miles on it, I have been the only rider since then. Never dropped and always garaged. Brand new front tire, front brake rotor and battery. Vance and Hines Straightshots exhaust, S&S air cleaner, looks and sounds great. Rare "Dragonfly Green" custom paint from the factory. (I have been to dozens of bike rallys and have only seen this paint scheme on one other bike.) Drag bars with riser. Many extras. Buyer will receive all original parts with bike including mirrors, exhaust, turn signals, air cleaner, pegs and grips. Also will include leather Saddlemen throw over bags and passenger backrest not shown in pictures. Great starter bike, fun to ride. Only selling because I purchased a Road King and hate to see this Sporty just sitting in the garage. Would like to see it go to someone who will appreciate it as much as I have. Mon, 15 Feb 2010IF YOU'VE a young daughter and you want to keep her away from motorcycles when she's older (or more likely the men that ride them) then look away now.Yes folks, Barbie and Ken are getting serious makeover to keep them up-to-date for 2010 - the new Harley-Davidson endorsed couple now come complete with biker gear, tattoos and even piercings (a Prince Albert, perhaps?). It makes you wonder what Mattel, the company behind the plastic duo, has next in the pipeline. Maybe they'll have a model of Birmingham airport, where Ken can kick the sh*t out of rival bike gang members?
Arlen Ness B-Day Bash At Petersen Museum
Fri, 31 May 2013On July 12 the Petersen Automotive Museum is throwing a birthday party for one of motorcycling’s customizing icons, Arlen Ness. The B-day celebration will be followed by a V-Twin Cruise-In on July 13 and punctuated by a summer-long exhibit entitled Arlen Ness: Art on Two Wheels. The July 12th birthday party is open to the public and the $95 ticket price puts you in the company of Arlen and other customizing aristocrats and also includes cocktails and dinner.
Harley-Davidson Adds Twin Cam 96 and 103 Engines to Factory Remanufacturing Program
Tue, 17 Jan 2012Harley-Davidson has added the Twin Cam 96, Twin Cam 103 and 2003-2006 CVO Twin Cam 103 engines to its engine remanufacturing program. The program, which previously accepted 1984 and newer Evolution 1340, Twin Cam 88, Twin Cam 88B and Twin Cam 95 powerplants, takes used engines, rebuilds and repaints them. Customers can take their existing Harley-Davidson motorcycle to a dealer which will remove the engine and send it back to the factory.
