Harley-Davidson Other description

2003 Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle Deuce, Wow! Lots of extras! - 100th Anniversary Screamin' Eagle Deuce It's Deuces wild for the 2003 Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) program. The latest creation from the CVO workshop is the Screamin' Eagle Deuce, a limited-production interpretation of the FXSTD Softail Deuce featuring a Twin Cam 95 V-Twin engine and a host of special custom parts and accessories from the Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories catalog. The 2003 Screamin' Eagle Deuce is the first Softail model to be the subject of a CVO project. Approximately 3,000 examples of the 2003 Screamin' Eagle Deuce will be manufactured. In designing the Screamin' Eagle Deuce, Harley-Davidson CVO sought to accentuate the long, low custom style of the Softail Deuce. The front and rear suspension was lowered, and a front spoiler and a custom low-profile seat and pillion with chrome inserts was installed. The bike rides on chrome slotted six-spoke wheels, a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear. Special Centennial Gold and Vivid Black paint is detailed with 23K gold leaf graphics, and the frame and swingarm, air cleaner, timer, derby cover and fuel tank console inserts, are color-matched. The Screamin' Eagle Deuce is powered by a Screamin' Eagle Twin Cam 95 engine, created by installing Screamin' Eagle Big Bore cylinders and flat top pistons on the standard Twin Cam 88B engine that powers the Softail Deuce. Displacement is bumped from 88 cubic inches (1450cc) to 95 cubic inches (1550cc), with a corresponding increase in torque, from 85 ft. lbs. to 91 ft. lbs. at 3500 rpm. The engine retains its EFI system and balancer shafts. Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary badges are located on the fuel tank console insert and the engine crankcase. A Harley-Davidson factory security system with siren and a 100th anniversary custom indoor storage cover are also included.

Want to Buy the Pope’s Harley?

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

In February, Bohnams auction house in Paris will allow both the Catholic and the Harley faithful to bid on a Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide owned by none other than Pope Francis, himself. Given to the Pope last year as part of the Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary celebration, the bike was unlikely to become the Popecycle because of the security required to protect the pontiff. The Pope donated the Dyna to the Roman Catholic charity Caritas Roma but not before signing the tank with “Francesco” at a special ceremony at the Vatican last November.
