2003 Harley-Davidson FXSTS/FXSTSI Springer Softail, LOW MILESSSS! Call or text JD at 313 283 3306 during or after hours for assistance! - 100th Anniversary FXSTS/FXSTSI Springer Softail This is one production motorcycle that never fails to make the hardcore smile. When we first brought back the leading-link exposed-spring front suspension in 1988, we had a look that dripped with Harley-Davidson tradition. There has been no looking back since. Just riders looking forward, at the glorious front end. This year the eye has plenty to admire as it makes its way over the rest of the Springer Softail. Right here, the lustrous Gunmetal paint alone is worth the long trip from the laced front wheel to the bobtail fender and wider 150mm tire in the rear. Then there's what happens when you fire up the Twin Cam 88B V-Twin power plant. After all, why let a couple of eyeballs have all the fun? * MSRP may not reflect vehicle shown. Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.

Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.
