1978 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead, 1978shovelhead. New dual compound michellin tires. New 13 1/2 shocks, tranny seals, stator,regulator, sprockets geared 24-43. First gear pulls to 60 mph. This bike runs strong and handles great. New s&s block, bored 80 over with high lift cam, wiesco pistons, accell coil, running points ignition. Extra fat bob tanks, 2 drag pipes, and a box of new base and top end gaskets ($225). This is a good bike that i've put a lot of time and money into. Jury Dismisses Suit Against Harley-Davidson Over ABS Indicator
Tue, 20 Dec 2011A Sacramento Superior Court jury has dismissed a lawsuit filed against Harley-Davidson involving a 2009 accident that left one of the plaintiffs with severe brain injuries. Judy Wilson was injured in an April 11, 2009, crash after her husband, Jack, locked the rear wheel of his non-ABS equipped 2008 Harley-Davidson Road Glide. The plaintiffs contended they believed their was equipped with ABS because the instrument panel had an ABS indicator icon and from the salesperson’s sales pitch.
Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2012 Results
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Harley-Davidson reported a profit of $134.0 million dollars over the third quarter of 2012. That represents a 27% decrease from the net profit of $183.6 million reported over the same quarter of 2011, but the drop was an expected result from a planned decrease in third quarter shipments as Harley-Davidson adopts an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) manufacturing system at its York, Pa., factory.
