1980 FXS Shovelhead, motor rebuild with stroker S&S lower and barrels / stock cases and heads. S&S shorty carb. Points ignition. 4 speed tranny, electric and kick start. Small leather tool bag stays with me. Less than 2000 miles since motor build and tranny gone though and checked out. Wheel bearings replaced, front end service with progressive springs. Odometer was missing when I bought the bike, title says 149000 miles. PLEASE LOOK. The Windshield , the Saddlebags and bag Brackets, and the Sissy Bar / Luggage Rack will be taken off. These will stay with me unless price for bike reaches $4000.00

Harley-Davidson Closing Australian Cast Wheel Subsidiary
Thu, 08 Dec 2011Harley-Davidson is closing its cast wheel and hub producing subsidiary New Castalloy, deciding to outsource production to third-party suppliers. Based in Adelaide, Australia, New Castalloy produces about 1,450 wheels and 500 wheel hubs per day for Harley-Davidson. That work will be transferred to outside suppliers by the middle of 2013.

2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout Recalled for Faulty Fuel Indicators
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Harley-Davidson is recalling 2013-2014 Breakout models, including CVO versions, because the fuel level indication system may not be properly reading the correct amounts of fuel. As of this publishing, recalls have been announced by government agencies in Australia and Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted a recall but U.S.-based members of the Harley-DavidsonForums.com report American dealerships have already started receiving recall bulletins. According to a recall announcement by Transport Canada, some Breakout and CVO Breakout models may run out of fuel despite the fuel and range indicators indicating there is still enough fuel in the tank.
