The front section of the body in particular has undergone significant transformation: the new fuel tank trim, intake snorkel, upper mudguard and a new windshield give the bike that extra dash of dynamic performance, reflecting the off-road side of the F 800 GS Adventure. Lowering is now available as an option for the F 800 GS, too. So in conjunction with the low seat, this means it is possible to create a seat height of 32.3 inches. Meanwhile, ABS as standard, ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) and the optional ASC (traction control) ensure the familiar degree of comfort and the necessary safety. The F 800 GS comes in three exciting colour variants: Kalamata metallic, Alpine White 3 und Cordoba Blue. THIS is the new Montesa Cota 4RT260 Factory, a sort of BMW HP4 of the trials world. Developed in collaboration with Honda, and the Repsol Montesa Honda Trials team, it’s got a 259cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine designed to compete with smaller two-strokes while producing less emissions. There are two versions, the £5,699 standard 4RT260, aimed at amateur-to-advanced riders, and the more competition-focussed Factory Race Replica version, with Showa suspension, at £6,799.

If you’ve been considering a new BMW motorcycle this year, then you must be eagerly awaiting the German manufacturer to release its 2014 prices. Now that your Christmas bills are paid off (at least, you would hope), you can start budgeting for your new Beemer, now that BMW Motorrad USA has released pricing information for the five newest models to its lineup, the R nineT, S1000R, R1200GS Adventure, K1600GTL Exclusive and R1200RT. Perhaps the most welcome news is the R nineT’s pricing at $14,900, making it just $800 more expensive than the R1200R‘s $14,100 price tag.
