BMW Other description

2013 BMW C650GT, This nearly new BMW C650GT has just 1717 miles! The C650GT is great for touring, weekend rides or daily commutes! Not your grandfather's scooter with an underpowered 2-stroke engine and squirrelly handling! This is a serious 'maxi-scooter' with an 'automatic' CVT transmission that can get up to 50 mpg in all-round use while providing plenty of power and outstanding handling. Excellent suspension with 15' wheels to soak up the bumps while offering excellent control.Trade-ins: A&S Powersports can accept your motorcycle, scooter, car, truck or RV in trade toward the purchase of a motorcycle. BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

Liquid-Cooled 2015 BMW R1200R Spied

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

German site MotorradOnline.de has published a spy photo of what appears to be a new liquid-cooled BMW R1200R prototype undergoing testing. The production model should arrive for the 2015 model year, with the official unveiling likely to take place at the Intermot show in Cologne in October. The spy photo shows the top of the test bike, with the engines, wheels and exhaust hidden behind a railing.

’50s BMW Scooter Prototype to Star at 2012 Concours di Motociclette

Wed, 23 May 2012

BMW is entering the scooter market this year with its C600 Sport and C650 GT maxi-scooters, but the German manufacturer almost entered the scooter segment nearly 60 years earlier. In the 1950s, BMW produced a pair of scooter prototypes it called the R10. The first prototype produced in 1953 was equipped with a 175cc Single producing about 8hp while the 1954 prototype (pictured above) was equipped with a 200cc producing about 10hp.
