BMW Other description

2009 BMW R1200GS, *New arrival* We're not sure where or what Namibia is but we do know this is Orange and not Yellow even though it looks like Yellow in the photos. This is a nice GS with a factory build consisting of: - ESA II- on-board computer- Integral ABS II- heated grips- hand guards- side case mounts for vario cases The previous owner added the BMW vario topcase, GS Adventure rider footpegs, Akrapovic titanium muffler, BMW valve cover protectors and Rox bar risers. The bike is in good condition with only a few minor blemishes found on the right hand guard, front right corner of the seat, spark plug covers and valve cover protectors (they did their job). We will soon be completing a safety inspection and getting the bike current with the necessary service. It is available for sale and you can call to reserve this bike. John (x125) or Brian (x112) at 603.964.2877 or visit our NH location with questions or the purchase this machine.

New: Revit off track textile jacket

Mon, 01 Dec 2008

Although the one pictured doesn’t look that worn it’s a recent replacement for the one I’ve been using ever since I passed my test two years ago. The previous incarnation met its fate in Africa at the hands of a knobbly tyre and chain. It has been in constant use this summer.

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.

Aren't motorcycles brilliant?

Wed, 19 Feb 2014

WE'RE not saying MCN's verdicts lack variation but here's a few of the weekly paper's recent headlines on just-ridden bikes: ‘Simply brilliant’ On the Kawasaki Z1000, November 27, 2013 ‘Brilliant’ On the BMW S1000R, December 4, 2013 ‘We thought it might be good. It's not: it's bloody brilliant!’ On the BMW R nineT, January 29, 2014 ‘Simply brilliant’ On the Yamaha MT-07, February 19, 2014
