wow ! beautiful 1968 BMW R50 low miles original 12211 ,i bought from original owner recently ,came from dessert climate so very little rust ,chrome is very nice runs and drive great ,i just cleaned carbs has new battery and recent tires ,comes with original toolkit in glove box .Its hard to find 1 in this nice of condition and original.

BMW Announces Trophy for Privateer Racers

Private road racers competing on BMW’s S1000RR or HP4 sportbikes in 15 different series worldwide will earn points based on their results, with the top privateer at the end of the year winning the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy. The trophy represents BMW’s new philosophy towards motorcycle racing which began with the official withdrawal of factory support in the World Superbike Championship.
BMW Sells Husqvarna to Pierer Industrie AG
Thu, 31 Jan 2013The BMW Group has announced the sale of 110-year old Husqvarna Motorcycles to Austrian-based Pierer Industrie AG. “The BMW Group signed a purchase agreement with Pierer Industrie AG (Austria) for the acquisition of Husqvarna Motorcycles. The acquisition will proceed subject to approval by anti-trust authorities.
