1963 BMW R60/2 daily rider that can be enjoyed as is or the basis for a cosmetic restoration since all the hard work is done. Matching #'s, original paint, keys for tool door and steering lock. Slingers just cleaned, ( new owner gets the one ounce. of crud I removed from them) new seals and gaskets, new ignition coil, new dry cell battery, new fuel lines, new clutch push rod with felt wiper. New Pagusa solo seat. Motor starts easily, runs great no smoke, trans shifts as it should. Exhaust works well but has pitting and a repair on left header pipe to seal a hole from rust.New fluids. Paint is in attractive condition for its age with some scratches. PO tapped a stopped vehicle and scratched front fender and portion of pin stripes. Machine drives straight stops well.Tail light ring is pitted. Fuel tank is rust free. Tires have plenty of meat but are old. You're looking at a 50yr old machine that can be ridden for another 50 yrs with the appropriate care. This machine will be an easy cosmetic restore since everything is all there and in nice shape. British Superbike racer Richard Cooper’s BMW S1000RR racebike was stolen mere hours after winning the 2011 British national Superstock title. Thieves reportedly broke into the Buildbase BMW race team’s truck after it returned to the team’s base in Leicestershire, England, from the series-clinching round at Britain’s Silverstone circuit. According to the team, thieves optained the keys to a van holding Cooper’s winning motorcycle and Superbike class racer John Laverty’s BMW S1000RR Superbike.

German fire engine and pump manufacturer Rosenbauer have utilised the ubiquitous BMW 1200 boxer engine to produce a powerful and lightweight water pump.  The engine runs as normal, using it's torqey qualities to power the high pressure waterpump attached.  Firefighters can carry this compact pump closer to the fire, and go where the normal fire engine cannot reach.

Pirelli To Remain Tire Supplier For All World Superbike Classes Through 2018

Pirelli’s relationship with the World Superbike Championship started in 2004 and will carry on through 2018, as the Italian company will continue to supply tires for every class of the championship. What follows is the official Pirelli press release. Pirelli has been confirmed as the Official Tire Supplier for all classes of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship having won the tender organized by Dorna, promoter and organizer of the World Championship, in agreement with the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation.
