Yamaha YZF-R tech info
Yamaha YZF-R description
2000 Yamaha R1, Rare, Red, Black and White Great condition for a 17 year old bike! ~22,600 miles, mileage is probably actually a few thousand less because of the gearing it had when I got it. Has tons of upgrades: Full Yoshimura Exhaust (probably cost about $5000 installed) Ohlins steering stabilizer Steel braided brake lines Some carbon fiber body pieces Rear Brembo brake master 520 chain conversion Frame sliders Custom white powder coated rims Black double bubble windshield This thing was built to be a racer. I flushed the brakes, changed the oil and put new tires on it to begin the season. Has probably 1000 miles until due for the next oil change and probably another riding season left on the rear tire. Only negative thing is purely cosmetic in that it had a slow low side at some point by a previous owner. You can only tell by a crack in the head fairing and scrapes on the clutch cover. Clean, clear title in hand. Trades could be considered. If I'm not interested, don't be mad. Buyer is responsible for all shipping responsibilities. $500 non refundable PayPal deposit due at the end of the auction. Full payment due within 10 days of auction end. We can work out payment after the auction, but prefer cash in hand or you can deposit directly into my Wells Fargo account, bank backed money orders or cashiers checks. Trades may be considered and I reserve the right to end the auction early, since the bike is for sale locally. I live in Salt Lake City, UT My name is Casey, contact me directly at 208-351-9654 |

Japan Needs Your Help
Thu, 17 Mar 2011By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.
