We took this bike in on trade. It was not driven for several years. We put a new battery in bike and it started and ran. We are selling as is. No financing available. Cash sale or pay pal. Bike must be picked up at dealership. We have a free and clear title to motorcycle. Buyer will be responsible for any sales tax and title and license fees. Yamaha has made it clear the Bolt Café is only a reference model to showcase the customization potential of the Bolt. At its heart remains the Bolt’s 942cc V-Twin engine and double-cradle frame.
Austin Kicks Off MotoGP Weekend!
Wed, 17 Apr 2013This weekend, the MotoGP circus makes its way to the United States for round two of the world championship, held at the stunning new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, the first time the track will host a world championship level motorcycle event. Expect to see the world’s fastest racebikes reach speeds over 200 mph on the 1 km (0.62-mile) back straight, and bring ear plugs — these bikes are loud! Fresh off a 1-2 finish in the season opener in Qatar, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi are looking to carry the momentum to CotA.
R1 noise, bike porn and a quick lap
Tue, 24 Apr 2012Trawling the internet for a sound clip of the Crossplane Crank Yamaha R1 on full chatter, I came across this: a few fast laps on board with New Zealand Superbike racer Tony Rees as he works the CABS Throttle Blipper on his 2011 R1. (Skip to 7:35 for the fast ones.) CABS is a system used by Superbike teams that makes use of the R1’s digitally controlled throttle. When you change up a gear, the bike blips in the perfect amount of revs to save time on track and make downshifts as quick and easy as clutch-less upshifts.
