Up for sale is a 2006 Yamaha Virago 250 cc (XV250) with 18,XXX miles. I'm getting a car and no longer have any use for it.The bike has a new battery, spark plugs, oil, and upholstered seats. Accessories that have been added include saddlebags, saddlebag support brackets, and a windshield with a small pouch for readily accessible items. I have also cleaned the carburetor, polished the paint and chrome, and cleaned and lubricated all cables. The bike is dimensionally larger than the Honda Rebel or Suzuki GZ250 which makes it perfect for a larger rider. Yamaha Names Olivier Pain and Michael Metge to 2015 Dakar Team

Yamaha has retained Olivier Pain and Michael Metge to race for its official factory team in the 2015 Dakar Rally. Pain and Metge will ride a new WR450F Rally currently being developed for the 2015 rally. Both riders raced for the Yamaha team in this year’s rally; Pain finished third overall behind KTM Red Bull team’s Marc Coma and Jordi Viladoms while Metge rode as a support rider for fourth-place finisher Cyril Despres.

New MotoGP Rules for ECU and Factory Status for 2014

The Grand Prix Commission released new rules for the 2014 MotoGP season regarding the standard electronic control unit and what constitutes “factory status” for manufacturers. Starting in 2014, the official MotoGP ECU including internal datalogger from Magneti Marelli will become mandatory. Factory teams will be allowed to program their own ECU software while privateers will be required to run the standard software.
