Yamaha V Star description

Super hard to find custom accessories on this V Star 250. It sounds awesome and looks great! It sounds like a much bigger bike and will fool alot of people. You can hear these pipes if you look up Vstar 250 West Eagle exhaust on Youtube. I put new Honda Rebel 250 shocks on it and it lowered it about 2 inches so even the shortest of riders will be able to ride this bike. It is VERY peppy and gets GREAT gas mileage (85-91). It may be less with larger riders. I'm 5 ft. and 115 lbs. Here is a list of things I have done to this bike:
1. Honda Rebel 250 shocks
2. West Eagle exhaust and carb rejet
3. Highway Hawk forward controls
4. Small chrome trimmed windshield
5. River Road fork bag
6. Kuryakyn flame grips, rings, and bar end weights
7. Smoked signal lenses
8. Headlight visor
9. Studded leather tank bib with removable pocket
10. Studded seats
11. Chrome tank and fender trim
12. Chrome license plate frame

This bike has been meticulously maintained and is super fun to ride. You won't be ashamed to ride this 250! You may not be able to find this exhaust or forward controls anymore so if you've been looking for a well customized smaller bike, here it is! I'm only selling due to health reasons. I just sold my other bike too so this is it for me and riding.
I will accept cash in person or cashiers check for full payment but will not allow you to set up shipping until check has cleared - Shipping is the buyers responsibility but I will be available to assist truck driver if needed - Title and keys will be sent prior to bike being picked up - If you have questions, ask BEFORE bidding - If you can't pay, don't bid! Thanks for looking and good luck.

2014 HRC Dakar Team Announced

Thu, 30 May 2013

Today at Mugello, ahead of this weekend’s MotoGP race at the famous Italian racetrack, Team HRC unveiled its 2014 Dakar team and motorcycle. Interestingly, one person many thought could be a Red Rider this year after leaving KTM, Cyril Despres, will not be riding a Honda next year, instead joining Yamaha’s Dakar effort.   However, HRC’s team still features five accomplished riders: Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Sam Sunderland (UK), Javier Pizzolito (Argentina),  Joan Barreda (Spain) and Paulo Goncalves (Portugal), all of whom will be competing on the CRF450 Rally.

Callaway Builds Motorcycle Engine

Thu, 20 Nov 2008

Callaway is a name that has become synonymous with Corvettes over the years, and with good reason. However, in addition to unleashing the power of America’s legendary sports car, Reeves Callaway has also done technical and engineering consulting for motorcycle companies such as Yamaha. A few years ago, he showed the world a V16 motor he built using four Yamaha 1,000cc motorcycle engines mounted on a custom fabricated aluminum block.
