1999 Yamaha Vmax, For sale, 1999 Yamaha Vmax carbon fiber gray by original owner. 6158 ORIGINAL miles! I purchased this bike new in July 1999, always garage kept and meticulously cared for, always driven maturely and never abused! The bike is also mechanically bone stock, the accessories include (pictured), is a real leather Corbin seat, Yamaha brand back rest, mini smoked windshield and engine case guards, also the stock handlebar was changed to a drag bar type handlebar. The bike has a new battery from last year along with an aftermarket high performance regulator/rectifier! Bike runs excellent! The tires only have roughly 1800 miles since they were replaced as wellrecent PA inspection! Also included is the original Vmax seat with all hardware and the original handlebar. The buyer will get all manuals in original plastic, tool kit and both keys. Rumor: Yamaha Developing Inline Three Roadster
Wed, 25 Jan 2012French motorcycle outlet Moto Revue reports Yamaha is developing a new three-cylinder middleweight. Citing an internal Yamaha document, Moto Revue reports the new naked model will feature an inline Triple engine, aluminum perimeter frame, upside-down fork and a triple-pipe exhaust like the MV Agusta F3 and Brutale 675. Yamaha has produced a Triple before, offering the XS750 from 1976-1979 before replacing it with the XS850 in 1980 and 1981 (pictured above is the 1981 Yamaha XS850.) The potential new model is still likely to be years away, so its look is yet to be determined, though Moto Revue does have a rendering that borrows some of the design elements from the FZ8.

Roberts and late night television star Jay Leno were the special guest auctioneers for the R1 at Mecum’s Motorcycle Auction in Monterey, Calif.
