I acquired this bike from the original owners 28 year old daughter who had registered and insured the bike and used it for local in town riding. She had the bike,serviced after it had sat for over 20 years, at the local dealer and used the bike for 1 and a half years and upgraded to a bigger bike. In the 1.5 years she told me she put over 1000 trouble free miles on it.
The bike has original 1904 miles and it shows well. Has always been indoors, and was originally won at a raffle at the local Yamaha dealer in 1983. Seems to be all original with the exception of the battery. Has one small dent in tank, no paint damage, , some nicks and scratches her and there to be expected of a 33 year old motorcycle. Not restored, a true daily rider, super economical rare bike. Top speed around 60 the way it is geared. Motor is interchangeable with the ysr50 yamaha so parts are readily available. Last registered and inspected in 2015. Current and transferable NYS Title. Email with any questions or to view BEFORE auction ends. Josh Hayes to Test Tech 3 Yamaha M1
Tue, 04 Oct 2011Two-time AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes has been invited to test Colin Edwards’ Tech 3 Yamaha YZR-M1 at the MotoGP post-season test. Tech 3 principal Herve Poncharal told MCN Hayes will get to ride a few laps on the Yamaha M1 Nov. 7 at the end of season test at Spain’s Valencia circuit.

Wed, 08 Sep 2010We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.
FIM Updates Superbike Racing Homologation Lists for 2013
Tue, 19 Feb 2013The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released an updated list of motorcycles homologated for the 2013 Superbike, Supersport, and Superstock racing season. Notable additions include the new BMW S1000RR HP4, the MV Agusta F3 and the Superbike-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale R. To qualify a production-based racebike for FIM homologations, manufacturers have to meet certain production thresholds.
