Up for sale is a "Rare"Yamaha 650 Turbo XJ650LJ. As you can see form the photos it in beautiful condition. Not perfect but i believe an 8.5 out of 10. 2,500 actual miles on it. I just had the carbs gone thru, a tune up and new tires installed. When this bike was new the owner had a turbo controller installed. Its in one of the photos. It allows you to adjust the amount of boost you want, when you want it. at the time i was told it costs around $2,000 dollars. When the turbo kicks in it produces about 90 hp. Everything on this bike works as it should. Its pretty cold blooded but runs great. There is some light pitting on the pipes but not really that noticeable. The fiberglass faring has no cracks, the windshield has some real light scratches but in no way affects your vision. I have explained the condition as best as i can. Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?
Tue, 30 Dec 2008A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
