Vincent All description

This was recently signed by AMA 2002 Motorcycle Hall of Fame member Marty Dickerson...on the occasion of him as Grand Marshal at a CA meet and show, also he was partying with the local Vincent HRD Club of Cambria. At some 90 years old, you can see why the signature is a bit scribbly. It is authentic, this helmet is as is-what I had that day- and is a decent modern helmet, China made, but Small mens size, so tight on me, I wear a LG mens.
Marty Dickerson is famous for speed records at Bonneville in the 50s and later, many records were done on his famous 'Blue Bike', he was accomplished on the then new Vincent HRD, and he was a SoCal motorcycle dealer and promoter as well. I'll have a few more moto related books and lit signed by him as well, listing soon. Buyer pays S&H, and will ship overseas, however it is very expensive

Video: 180bhp N2O injected Vincent

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

The Greek God Epithemeus - the name of this three-wheeled, 180bhp Vincent record breaker - was the brother of Prometheus. Epithemeus (meaning afterthought) was the creator of many dangerous, ill thought-out beasts. Unlike his dilligent brother, Epithemeus was a bit of a f**kwit who threw everything at his powerful new animal creations with little thought of the consequences. A perfect name, then.

Ever since The King threw his leg over his ’56 Harley-Davidson and the Black Rebels rolled into Carbonville, the combination of motorcycles and rock have been as combustible as gas and spark. Early moto-rock lived for the most part on the fringes of pop music, in the pomped-up rockabilly of guys like Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent.
