Very rare original Amal short arm carburetor float with bottom feed type float chamber and some other parts as seen, overall it seems to be in very good original condition and complete with float and all internal parts. 0 degree angle, As fitted to many 1930's thru 1960's road and high performance and road going 276 carburetors, competition and racing machines from Norton, Matchless, Royal Enfield, BSA, Triumph, Ajs, Vincent and many other period racing motorcycles. All in all very nice original condition . measures approx - 4.5 inches tall x 2. inches diameter, . The only marking i see is B1A . Lee Rocker To Play Free Concert At AIMExpo
Thu, 09 Oct 2014Lee Rocker, of 1980′s Stray Cats fame, and still considered one of the most influential upright bass players in rock n’ roll history, will perform a free concert at the AIMExpo Saturday Night, October 18 outside of the AIMExpo show floor at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). Within the sale, an intriguing duo of Brough Superiors will be offered for auction from a family synonymous with motorcycles for generations – Myerscough. The motoring history behind the Myerscough family began in 1893 when Leonard Myerscough opened a business repairing and selling bicycles, followed by motorcycles and automobiles. At the peak of this business, five locations serviced the Liverpool area under the banner L Myerscough & Sons Ltd. Encouraged by his father, the eldest son, Len Jr, took up dirt track racing in the late 1920s, enjoying success as a contracted team rider for both the Belle Vue Aces and Preston teams from 1928 to 1931.
Bonhams Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction Rakes In $1.8 Million
Mon, 16 Jan 2012A collection of classic motorcycles including some owned by the Du Pont family was auctioned by Bonhams in Las Vegas, with sales reaching $1.8 million, nearly double the pre-auction estimates. The auction included 50 motorcycles and 113 lots of spare parts from the Du Pont family including some from the personal collection of E. Paul du Pont, founder of Du Pont Motors and one-time president of Indian Motorcycles.
