2014 AMA Supercross – Oakland Results

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

With three different racers tasting victory in the first three rounds of the 2014 AMA Supercross Championship, the season was shaping up to be one of the deepest and most competitive fields we’ve seen. But at Round Four at O.o Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., Ryan Villopoto showed why he remains the top dog, leading each lap for his second win of the season. The Kawasaki rider only trailed at the very start of the race, as Honda rider Vince Friese took the holeshot with Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton slotting in second through the first corner.

HELMET MANUFACTURER X-LITE will be unveiling one of their top-of-the-range lids in a variety of colour schemes favoured by Fiat Yamaha MotoGP star Jorge Lorenzo. The X-802 is now available in the MotoGP star's black paint scheme, with the recognisable red 'X' on the crown. Suzuka Eight Hour capers

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

Chatting to TT legend John McGuiness recently about his first Suzuka Eight Hour experience got me thinking of a few capers the boys and me managed a few years back at what is still Japan's most important race of the season. It is a unique event that starts at 11am and finishes at 7pm making  it a pukka endurance race as the last hour is run with headlights on in the dark. It is essentially an eight hour sprint that showcases the trickest endurance machinery and manufacturer’s sales can be affected the following year depending on who wins or loses.
