Triumph Tiger description

Solid running bike that needs some TLC. Front forks need to be re-sealed. Handlebars need new insulators. The turn signals have been removed buy are included in the sale. The shock bushings will need to be replaced. The left axle retainer in broken. That's the bad news. The good news is the carburetor has been updated and rebuilt as the brake master return valve. This bike is in running and stopping condition BUT will need a little more work to get it ready for long rides. New York State inspection expired 8/2015. Speed Triple gets new boots

Tue, 18 May 2010

Since the spark plug incident last month resulting in the premature demise of the factory fitted Metzlers, I’ve had to find some new rubber for the Speed Triple. With the Triumph’s punchy engine Commuting 1800 miles a month on motorways and city roads, I need something that will cover decent miles but also be up for some frequent country lane antics. With the BT023’s Bridgestone claim longer life with solid wet weather performance for touring riders whilst satisfying the demands of the keen sport bike riders.

2012 Triumph Speed Triple R Unveiled at EICMA

Tue, 08 Nov 2011

Judging from its looks alone, it’s plain to see that this is no ordinary Speed Triple. Triumph worked in close collaboration with Öhlins, to fine tune the NIX30 43mm fork and TTX36 shock to work specifically for the Speed Triple R.

Speed Triple gets mean

Fri, 29 Oct 2010

I headed up the M1 this week to the Triumph Factory in Hinckley. The Speed Triple was due its 12000 mile major service and the workshop also had some new shiny bits to add to the bike for me. Service intervals are every 6000 miles which is more than bearable but the major service will cost you around £450.
