Triumph Thruxton 900 description

Beautiful green and gold Triumph Thruxton for sale by owner. Purchased brand new from Magic City Cycles in Orlando, FL in early 2014. The bike comes with the following upgrades:

1. Dealer-installed after-market Arrow pipes, producing a much better sound than the factory original;

2. Dealer-installed rear-fender eliminator kit to give the bike cleaner lines and a much truer cafe-racer look overall; and

3. After-market seat by Roland Sands Design, which is much more comfortable than the original (original factory seat and pillion cover are also included in the sale).

The bike is always garaged and connected to a battery tender. Service records from dealer. Clear FL title in hand. Never dropped or hit. No scratches, dents or other cosmetic imperfections. Never ridden in rain and never washed. My husband has been riding motorcycles for over 25 years and takes very good care of his fleet of motorcycles. Due to work commitments, however, he has not been riding as frequently as he likes, hence less than 1,000 miles since new! If buyer so desires, there is also a set of bike stands that can be purchased for an additional $150.

Buyer responsible for pickup/shipment. Bike is located in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando, FL.

Thank you for looking!

Bonneville from a parallel universe

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

This is the Triumph Speed Twin Concept, a bike commissioned by Triumph to show what the Bonneville might have evolved into, in a parallel universe. I love the concept. Designed by Roy Norton and Tom Kasher who were on a placement at a design studio, I get the impression the pair are into motorcycle and not just designers.

Single sided chain adjustment

Wed, 14 Apr 2010

We don’t get the manuals with our long term bikes and I didn’t want swallow my pride and ask triumph how to adjust the chain on the Speed Triple. For the life of me I couldn’t figure it out. The single side swing arm with centrally mounted disk is a work of art but how the hell you are supposed to adjust the thing?

AMA Sportbike: 2012 Daytona 200 Results

Tue, 20 Mar 2012

The 2012 Daytona 200 delivered another fairy-tale finish with underdog privateer Joey Pascarella and the Project 1 Atlanta team fending off a pack of three other racers to win by a slim 0.048 second margin. Competing in just his first Daytona 200, 19-year-old Pascarella from Victorville, Calif., held the lead for 41 out of 57 laps to finish first ahead of a last year’s winner Jason DiSalvo while Cameron Beaubier squeezed by 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas in a photo-finish to take third. For the Project 1 Atlanta team, the win marked a dramatic turnaround from a let down in 2011.
