Triumph Speed Triple description

Great looking, running & riding Speed triple 1050. One of the top 10 fun/hooligan bikes made. Yes, CLEAN -open N.M. title in my name.
Original motor apart(goes with bike) crankshaft issue-according to a reputable shop in Albuquerque-Moto Authority. I put a used motor in with less miles(9K) than on speedometer 24K+. NEW: a BMC air filter, power commander, bar risers, Sargent gel seat(stock seat too), rear wheel axle spools, grips, carbon fiber heel guards, frame sliders, fly screen, wrapped header, new tires -Q3's, Valves all checked-out fine, plugs, amsoil synthetic oil/filter, anti freeze (race type) chain/ sprockets -1 in front, spare mid pipe(like new), misc... Paint's very nice, nick here & there(minor-1 on tail). Might need fork seals next summer($30. bucks). I'd rate bike 9 out of a 1- 10 scale & I'm picky. Motor & exhaust sound are unique-sounds awesome, not too loud. One of the nicest powerplants in any bike I've owned(about 80 different models). Does not appear to have ever hit the ground. You won't be disappointed. I'm below book on this!
Bike's sold "as is". I require a $500. dollar deposit within 3 days of auction end.

On Oct-21-16 at 13:07:04 PDT, seller added the following information:

I just noticed Head gasket is weeping a little in the front by the exhaust. I still runs great though. I will include a gasket-IF I get a chance to buy one before auction ends. No promises.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
