Triumph Bonneville description

1982 Triumph 750 Bonneville 8 valve motor, Triumphs best and one of 125 imported out of 250 made before they folded. A real survivor that after long storage has just been refurbished with  brakes, front forks ,fork boots, Bing carburettors overhaul. Also fitted with new Metzeler tires and heavy duty battery. Everything on her works including the electric starter. Basically a real nice bike almost new with 4875 miles  ready for summer fun. Seat is a bit worn from storage but have a brand new British seat cover ready to install. Left muffler has a small scrape at the tip but being the original and now unobtainium I  would leave it as is, still better then an incorrect Taiwan copy. Title for the bike is from New Mexico ready for assignment to new owner. For shipping overseas try USACINTL typical price is $800 to England, for domestic shipping Haul Bikes is offering $400 cross country. First Look: Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support

Tue, 02 Nov 2010

I'm predominantly a road rider, so I haven't had much to do with neck braces, until now. I'm heading on the launch of the new Triumph Tiger 800 and there will be a session of light off-roading so I thought this would be a chance to try the Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support, mainly to see what it was like for day-to-day use. I hope I don't crash hard enough to test its protection qualities and I don't expect to be clearing any table tops either, but I'm curious to know how I get on with the BNS and whether it feels claustrophobic.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
