Suzuki Tl 1000s description

Up for sale is my 1997 Suzuki TL1000s sportsbike.

I've owned this bike for almost 4 years and would mostly use it while I would do work in the bay area.

The TL1000s is in GREAT CONDITION, EVERYTHING WORKS and only has 25,389 miles.

Clutch has been replaced 2 years ago.
Has upgraded 6 piston front brake calipers.
Battery is less than 7 months old.
Tires have 80-70% tread on them.

The sale includes:
- Arai helmet
- AGV helmet
- Front and Rear bike stands.
- New bike cover
- Rear seat
- K&N Air Filter

TL1000s runs great and has NO engine issues.
Idles smoothly, very docile around town, sounds awesome, gets good fuel mileage.
Bike has been garage-kept. Battery was replaced last year and fluids have been topped off.
It will need an oil and filter change in about 800 miles.
The bike performs flawlessly and is a VERY well-sorted, well-maintained bike.

Have any questions, send me a message. I will try to reply within a few hours.

1974: Onboard an MV racer with Phil Read

Fri, 19 Feb 2010

ANOTHER CRACKING BIT of vintage racing footage, this time featuring multiple motorcycle world champion Phil Read on the awesome-sounding MV Agusta 500-4.The footage is from the 1974 movie 'The Iron Horse' made by Frenchman Pierre-William Glenn.Read’s 1974 500cc World Championship victory was the last year a four-stroke won the world title before the advent of the MotoGP class in 2002. Giacomo Agostini won the crown from Yamaha in 1975, followed by Suzuki-mounted Barry Sheene in '76 and '77. The footage is bloody good, considering the camera technology of the day.

My favourite ever BSB brolly dolly has to be Keith Flint. He joined me on the grid back in 1997 at Brands Hatch before I nailed down my second championship with two race wins. A nicer bloke you couldn't ever wish to meet so it’s good to see him out and about regularly on his Crescent Suzuki prepared GSXR 1000.

Michelin Unveils New Tire for Dual Sport Motorcycles

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

More than half of the new BMW R 1200 GSs that roll off the assembly line in 2013 will be fitted with Michelin’s new big trail tire, the Anakee III. BMW and Michelin worked together to co-develop the dual-sport tire, which is designed to deliver all the safety and off road capability big trail motorcycle users demand. The Anakee III will also be available as a replacement option for other leading dual sport bikes, like the Suzuki V-Strom, Kawasaki KLR, Triumph Tiger and Yamaha Super Tenere.
