Suzuki Other description

The background

I never planned on selling this bike but life changes...force me to do so. I've had if for about 5-6 years and it has been something to work on. I put on the Hayabusa newer front fork $1000.00/ Nissin 6 piston calipers with stainless steel braided brake lines $600.00/ Bitubo rear shock conversion $600.00/ Rear led brake light conversion with intergrated blinker $100.00/ I dissembled the old headlight housing and added two 2015 toyota corolla L.E.D headlight projectors $500 with integrated cooling fans(which really aren't necessary due to their large heat sinks)I added an integrated phosphate coated daytime running light/ blinker combination. I topped that off with a clear headlight lens and 3 gore-tex vents waterproof vents. I used an amphenol 7pin military style connector to ensure weatherproofing. All the drivers are mounted inside the  headlight housing on a plate of painted aluminum. I had to do this because the Led headlight drivers are not water tight and never were design to be exposed to the elements. I also had to repositioned the ambient air pressure sensor due to some clearance issues. It turned out very well and provides plenty of lighting in all situations and headlights aim is fully adjustable. The only thing I would of done differently is used a different apoxy. During the bonding process;the new lens shifted and left apoxy on parts of the lens that should NOT have it. I soldering under the headlight switch to supply power to one light like a true low beam and both projectors once the high beam switch is tripped. The old way supplied power to both lights continuously with a dual filament bulb for high beam/low beam. I did away with the white and yellow connectors and soldered 36 wires together/heat shrunk them and electrical tape. That did away with 100% of the known corrosion issues. I changed the rear caliper to the hayabusa's gold set because I like the look of it. I also put on a rear shock absorber sleeve as to protect the brand new Bitubo shock seal.

Maintenance

I've flushed all hydraulic fluids on the bike. Started the season with a fresh set of plugs an oil. Cleaned the k&n air filter and rebuild the rear master cylinder.

Parts
It comes with a yoshimura full racing exhaust, which I had repacked at yoshimura 3 years ago. The old owner removed the TRE and did the airbox modifications on it. It has the shark skin set of fairing. It does have the old power commander II on it as well. The old owner had the rear swing arm painted black.

Things this bike needs.
I over torqued one of the bolt holding the left fork on the lower triple tree. Oddly enough, I did this while using a torque wrench. It doesn't need it but I would have the valve clearance done on it, since it is coming up on that interval. The tires are about 50%. The side stand switch doesn't work. I have never dynoed it and I would say that power is slight higher that stock.

This bike sounds great and does puts a smile on your face. I have addressed most, if not all of the known TL's issues. The suspension is set up for my height and weight for one rider up. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I want to see this go to someone who appreciates it. Please do your research before bidding on this. I will reserve the right to end this auction at any because I will be listing this motorcycle on various sites.

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.

Suzuki Teases New Cruiser

Mon, 20 May 2013

Friday morning, May 24, Suzuki will be unveiling a few new models. Details beyond that are slim, but Suzuki has sent us a teaser rendering of one of the models, shown above. The image isn’t very large at all, but judging by the headlight shape, we’re guessing it’ll be part of the M line of cruisers.
