Up for bid is a 2001 SUZUKI GSXR600 with a low reserve. This bike has only 11797 miles and starts right on up and runs fine. The problem is that it has been dropped and there is damage to the plastic, the right footpeg is broken and the right brake lever is broken. The front fender is missing either from damage or for looks and the low beam is disconnected. It has a Yoshimura RS3 exhaust which makes it sound real nice and the eurotail gives it that sleek look. But since it has been down, we are going to be selling it cheap, rather than putting in the time and effort to get what this bike Should draw. Yet, this might be a great opportunity for someone to grab up a nice bike, put a little effort into getting it ship-shape and going out having a lot of fun. May be a cheap way out for a beginner who doesn't want to take a new bike and drop it themselves, causing them to loose a lot of money. Is This the New Suzuki V-Strom 650?
Wed, 01 Jun 2011Suzuki has released a teaser for a new mid-sized adventure bike, likely an updated V-Strom. The teaser campaign, which can be seen at Suzuki’s official website, shows the image above, along with the words: “Time For Real Adventures” and “Middle-Class New Motorcycle”. These hints suggest the new model will be an updated V-Strom 650, likely using an engine similar to the one powering the Suzuki Gladius SFV650.

Thu, 02 Jun 2011The amazing Alex Lowes is deservedly grabbing all the attention in the BSB paddock at the moment, but I believe last year’s top Superbike rookie, Alistair Seeley is doing an equally impressive job in the Supersport class. Although he looks ten years younger, thirty one year old Seeley is riding one of only two 2011 600 GSXRs (fellow countryman Marty Nutt is on the other) in the class. Alistair has finished on the podium four times including a race win at the opening Brand Hatch round and currently lies second in the championship. He also took victory on the Gixer in the only race run at the North West 200 last month and was looking like the runaway winner last Sunday at Thruxton until electrical gremlins struck after opening up a seven second lead.

Mon, 06 Sep 2010It was good to catch up with my old mate Daryl Beattie last weekend in Misano. Daryl was pushing Mick Doohan hard for the 500cc World Championship in 1995 until he high sided and broke his collar bone in Assen mid way through the year. He eventually finished runner up in the series but then some fairly big tumbles from his Lucky Strike Suzuki in 1996 brought his career to a premature end.
