2014 Royal Enfield Continental GT Cafe Racer to Launch in US this Summer

Royal Enfield is launching a new caf racer, expected to arrive in the U.S. later this summer. Previously presented in concept form a year ago at Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi and again at the Long Beach stop of the 2012 International Motorcycle Shows in December, the caf racer will now officially be called the 2014 Royal Enfield Continental GT.

Royal Enfield Announces Record Sales Growth

Royal Enfield announced a new sales record as unit sales over the first three quarters of 2011 have already surpassed worldwide sales totals for all of 2010. Figures for the third quarter are still coming in, but Royal Enfield reports sales of 42,000 units in the first half, representing a year-on-year increase of 40%. The Indian manufacturer says it is on track to meet its goal of 70,000 units for 2011.

Royal Enfield Names Rod Copes President, North America

Royal Enfield, the worlds oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production, has named industry veteran Rod Copes as President, North America. Rod will be responsible for driving Royal Enfields businesses in the United States and Canada. By naming Copes to a top-level executive position, Royal Enfield has firmly stated its intentions to rapidly expand the brand in the U.S., its top export market.
