Norton G15CS description

1969 Norton G15CS/123979 for sale!

This bike runs great and is in very nice condition! It remains exactly how it was prepared and displayed as the only road bike, along side other race bikes, at the 1971 Los Angeles Automobile and Motorcycle show. The original owner fell in love with it at first sight and within 24 hours of seeing it at the show, he contacted the dealer and purchased it. After he had to sadly part from the bike, I became its second owner. Since then, I have put less than 300 miles on it and made sure to start it regularly. The odometer is broken, but the original owner estimates the mileage to be between 3 and 4,000 miles. Some visible flaws are minor chaffing of the paint where the tool compartment cover fits, minor dings on the mufflers, and the shock boots are splitting. According to the original owner, the upswept exhaust pipes and the air cooled double leading edge front brake hub (as on the Commando) were added for the Los Angeles show. The candy apple green custom paint was added to give it some extra pizzazz on the show stand at the Los Angeles show. Some G15CS's were badged as Nortons while others were badged as Matchless.

We encourage all potential buyers to inspect the motorcycle prior to purchasing. The vehicle is available anytime for inspection at Winning Makes, located in Santa Barbara, CA. Our address and telephone number is posted on our website and Facebook page. This vehicle is sold 'as is' and 'where is.' Buyers will also be subject to any other applicable government fees and taxes, any finance charges, dealer document preparation charge, and any emission testing charge. I'm on a Goodwood Revival comedown

Tue, 22 Sep 2009

I'm on a massive comedown after a great weekend at Goodwood Revival. The Revival relives the glory days of the 50s and 60s and that's not just marketing hype, almost everyone is dressed in perios clothing, the cars are all from 1948 to 1966 and the effort that goes into setting Goodwood up is incredible, even the burger vans are retro Citroens, the staff are dressed in period clothing and about the only thing not retro was the price of a bacon sarnie; £6.50, ouch! I only planned to go down on Friday, but I had such a good time I headed back on Sunday too.

Norton Signs Cameron Donald to Race Isle of Man TT

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

Norton Motorcycles has signed two-time TT winner Cameron Donald to a three-year contract to race in the Isle of Man TT. Donald will ride the Norton SG3 sportbike in the Dainese Superbike and PokerStars Senior TT classes, starting both races seeded 19th. That matches the number of the late Steve Hislop, the last Norton rider to win on the Isle of Man with a victory in the 1992 Senior TT race.

More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt.
