Norton DeLuxe Model 99 description

You got to see this... Norton Dominator Deluxe model 99 Featherbed, One of perhaps six in the nation and certainly the only one with this period Correct faring!
Even world-wide, Very Rare! This bike starts easily and is a solid runner!

It's owner writes...

"Built only from 1959 to 1961 the 88 and 99 DeLuxe were Norton's answer to the bathtub Triumph, Velocette Vee-Line and Vincent Black Prince. Few were built, and ever fewer have survived in the original formats, resulting in one the rarest Nortons.

This example is a numbers-matching original with a few changes to make it more rideable such as 12 volt electrics and 2LS front brake. Items such as the seat, silencers and exhaust pipes have been replaced with modern lookalikes. The fairing is period correct Avon, and the top box is by Craven. For the purists, the original SLS front brake is included. Also the original headlamp she and mountings are included in care a new owner wanted to ride it without the fairing.

It has been owned by me since 1975, which is when I first restored it. Since then it has been refreshed several times. I rode it often in my native England, later in Maryland and more recently Colorado. It has been twice to the Isle of Mann, many times over the Continental Divide, and a few years ago on the Norton National rally when it was held in Wyoming. Well known among Colorado enthusiasts, it has never failed to bring me home from a run and draws a crowd wherever it is parked.

It starts easily and is ready to ride, and while not pristine, it is smart enough to grace any museum and win show awards. Currently it is on display at Moon Motorcycles in Issaquah, near Seattle.

Please feel free to ask any questions." Moon Motorcycles Issaquah, WA call Scott with any questions

One owner since the mid-seventies. It has taken it's owner, twice to the Isle of Man, all around Maryland, and many times on the 600 mile weekend Phantom Canyon run from Colorado up into Wyoming, going over the Continental Divide twice each time.

It's almost 100% original apart from the front brake upgrade and addition of the Avon fairing (bought from the Lord Mayor of Burton!) and the Craven top box and 12 volt electrics.

Ready to ride, this investment quality machine needs to be in your garage!

Production of 650cc Norton models will start at the end of next year

Tue, 17 Nov 2020

In addition to the release of V4 and Commando models, the British plan to expand their lineup. The Norton V4 and Commando motorcycles, presented to the public in 2018, will not start rolling off the assembly line until the end of 2021. This is primarily due to the fact that Norton, owned by the Indian company TVS, is currently busy transferring production from Donnington Hall to Solihull.

The British motorcycle manufacturer announced the opening of the plant in Solihull and the readiness to produce up to 8,000 motorcycles per year. Moreover, it will also have its own showroom, a small museum and even a motorcycle service center.
