Norton Commando description
1968 NORTON Commando 750cc Fastback Excellent condition. Runs & rides as good as it looks. This is the first iteration of the Commando Fastback with the round tank badges. In
1970 I started riding Nortons in the Ozark Mountains, and I have been
riding one of various models ever since. My present Norton I acquired
from the Norton Owners Club in Canada and imported it. I have a clear
Arkansas title & registration.Since I've had the bike, new Amal carbs have been fitted along with new Avons, speedo cable, and fresh dark green paint (the bike came from Canada in a flawless red color, but I'm not fond of riding anything painted red). The only issue is that the 4:1 ratio of the tachometer is matched to a tachometer drive of 2:1 ratio, which results in the instrument reading twice the number of rpms. To compensate, I have reduced the price from $10,500. All else on the machine is functional and in order as it should be. This machine I had set up for the duration, but at this point in life I find that the Commando is too long, too high, and too heavy for me. If anyone has a 1960-1963 standard Norton 600cc Dominator model 99 of like condition, I would be happy to swap even. You are welcome to come by for a test ride. Any
form of payment is acceptable or upon pick-up here in Hot Springs
National Park. Shipping is also possible per buyer's preferences and expense. Merry Christmas! |

Price William The Duke Of Ducs And Other Motorcycles
Mon, 02 Dec 2013The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, visited Britain’s largest motorcycle show, Motorcycle Live, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. The visit saw the Duke astride numerous motorcycle models including UK icons Norton and Triumph as well as a Ducati 1199 Superleggera (one of the few men able to afford the $70,000 rarity). During his visit Prince William enjoyed a display of off-road riding – one of nine opportunities for visitors to ride at Motorcycle Live, eight of which are inside the halls of the NEC. He also met Dean Linehan, exhibitions director of MCI Exhibitions, the company that organizes the annual motorcycle exhibition.

Scheduled for release next year, the V4SV is powered by a 1,200cc V-4-cylinder engine, developed in-house.
Norton to Race Isle of Man TT with RSV4-Powered Prototype
Wed, 18 Apr 2012Norton Motorcycles announced it will compete in the 2012 Isle of Man TT with a new racebike. The as-yet-unnamed racebike will use an Aprilia RSV4 engine with a chassis from Spondon Engineering. If that formula sounds familiar, it’s because it sounds like of MotoGP’s new Claiming Rule Team machines.
