Moto Guzzi California ll description

1985 Moto Guzzi California ll for sale  98% stock original, very fine condition,

I bought this bike from the original owner last winter. It was not running, He was selling this and a older Guzzi he had bought new because he had a new bike. I have not had it registered or on the road so the person who buys this bike will be the second owner. This Guzzi was the top of the line bike in 85. It came equipped with windshield, crash bars, detachable suitcase type hard bags, air shocks front and back, triple disc brembo linked brakes, floor boards, etc. This is a true survivor with only 10,000 miles on the clock, a drop in the bucket for a Moto Guzzi. Truly a RARE find. It was stored in a Garage and the bike shows it. The Chrome is in excellent shape. It has not been molested at all. It has stock mufflers, airbox, everything. It is missing the stock mirrors. The paint is in very nice condition. The tires are matching Conti with good life and no weathering.

The things I did  besides overall cleaning and polishing, I had to install a new main switch, an Odyssey GMA battery, with new hold downs, rebuild the carbs and installed new float valves, replaced the rubber breather hoses all of them and cleaned the pvc valve, replaced a non stock coil with a stock one, cleaned the gas tank out. The bike now starts fine and runs strong.

The things I noticed it will need is a bulb in one tail light and a headlight bulb.

The things I see wrong or need attention possibly are, one floor board has some chrome missing, some scratches in the paint on the front fender, the lock on the left  bag is missing a part, some small pings in the paint on the gas flap, the white on the seat is faded, but the seat has no rips or tears in the leather, there is a crack in the windshield.( see pictures )

With some more polishing and cleaning this bike could be entered in your local bike show. It is 31 years old and in awesome shape for a Guzzi that old. It is also a prime candidate for a easy frame up restoration because all the stock parts are there.
