Great and rare opportunity to own a MV Agusta factory works bike and in incredible condition. This bike was one of the 71 bikes included in the book, The MV Agusta Collection. In 2012, the famous collector Gary Kohs decided to pass his personal collection of machines along to a new owner. Known for its Grand Prix performance, MV has won 270 Grand Prix motorcycle races, with legendary riders such as Giacomo Agostini, Mike Hailwood, Phil Read, Carlo Ubbiali, Gary Hocking and John Surtees. And the company was formed just after World War II. Below you will find the details of this bike copied from The MV Agusta Collection. While MV Agusta built many motorcycles with sporting potential, actual factory-built race bikes were rare machines. When the factory constructed racing machines, they affixed a brass tag to the engine case. In Lusso trim, this 150 SS was equipped with a front telescopic hydraulic ford, and a rear swingarm with hydraulic shock absorbers. The brakes were enlarged from the Sport "E" model; the front grew from 130mm to 180mm, while the tear was enlarged from 130mm to 150mm. The Lusso was fitted with a longer seat cushion, allowing the rider to assume a more sporting stance while on the vehicle. The engine was the same as the Sport "E" in that it generated 9 horsepower at 6500 rpm. Though the bike didn't have an excess of power, it only weighed 92Kg, giving it nimble handling. The model included in this collection was also produced in some different "Race" versions. 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 Revealed
Tue, 04 Jun 2013MV Agusta revealed official photos and specifications for the 798cc version of the F3 675 supersport. The new 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 offers similar styling to the 675 but offers a bigger engine, slipper clutch, upgraded suspension and monobloc calipers. The F3 800′s three-cylinder engine has the same 79mm bore as the F3 675 but its 54.3mm stroke is 8.4 mm longer and uses the same counter-rotating crankshaft design said to reduce rotational inertia.
2014 WSBK Provisional Entry List – 27 Riders and 9 Manufacturers
Thu, 30 Jan 2014The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a provisional entry list for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The provisional list includes 27 riders riding motorcycles from nine different manufacturers. Of these riders, 12 are riding in the new EVO sub-category which limits engine upgrades and electronics to Superstock class rules.
