Restored 1975 Kawasaki H2 750 Two Stroke Triple.  All sorted out and used most weekends.  Has 1,000 miles since restoration which included new Rims, Spokes, Tires, Brake Shoes, Sprocket, Chain, Front Pads, Rebuilt Calipers, Stainless Steel Lines, Master Cylinder  (New Factory Master Cyl + Rubber Lines Included), Pistons + Rings, Higgs Speed Stainless Steel Chambers from the UK, New Paint and Decals, Petcock, Tach + Speedo cables, Clutch Cable and battery.  Matching numbers Frame + Motor.  Bike starts on 2 kicks when cold and 1 when hot.  Spark Plugs last from April till November and never foul.  Once these bikes are jetted correctly they run extremely well and do not stall out in traffic or foul plugs in town traffic.

A long time ago a man – some would say living legend – taught me how to ride a speedway bike. In Scandinavian tinged English he told me that the heart of riding a speedway bike was the relationship between my heart and the centre nut of the top yoke. Like a primitive cave dweller, he beat his heart with his fist while he explained this theory whilst his other hand gripped the top yoke.

I’ve been testing this Drift 170 camera for the past few days. I also took it on the recent Portimao Maxxis tyre launch where I managed to sneak it onto Gary Mason’s Kawasaki Superbike. We’ve been using the GoPro HD set-up for over a year now with mixed results.

The transforming Kawasaki J Concept was one of the highlights of the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, thanks to its futuristic styling that was like a cross between a Tron Lightcycle and the Batpod from Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy. The electric three-wheeler is unlikely to enter full production, but it is nice to see some outrageous concept models again. The J Concept was primarily produced to showcase Kawasaki‘s GIGACELL high-capacity nickel-metal hydride battery technology, but the most dramatic feature is the concept’s ability to transform.
