This is a 1972 Kawasaki H1 500. It is in very good condition. Some of what you read here is also found in the condition description. There is no rust. It runs well and is ready for show or the road. I customized it to follow the theme of a WWII fighter plane. The seat has been re-upholstered. I cleaned up the engine cases by doing an engine turn finish and jeweled the edges of the cylinder fins. Parts for these bikes are found mostly online and not at dealerships. I bought it in 2007 so I am not the original owner. It was well taken care of and has a clear title. The tank is in good condition and does not show signs of internal rust. I keep it topped off with fuel to prevent that from happening. I use this bike as more of a show bike than one to ride but it is rideable. These were the predecessors of the current sport bikes today. It is kept garaged and under cover. I want to sell it because I want to add space in my garage for an ATV and figure this should probably go. If you have any questions please respond to this ad and I'll get back with you. Fri, 07 Sep 2012Ryan Villopoto and Jake Weimer have signed multi-year contract extensions with Kawasaki, ensuring the two riders will continue competing for Team Green in AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross championships through 2013 and beyond. Villopoto and Kawasaki have been a winning combination both indoors and outdoors. Villopoto won three 250 motocross titles and a Supercross Lites West Region title with Kawasaki before moving up to the 450 class in 2009, winning two Supercross races in his rookie year.

Fri, 13 Jul 2012Emerson Fittipaldi is probably best known for his four-wheel racing career which include two Formula One World Championships, a CART racing title and two Indy 500 victories. What might be less known, at least outside of his native Brazil perhaps, is Fittipaldi owns a pair of Kawasaki motorcycle dealerships. The 65-year-old former racer and his team has produced a limited edition run of 50 Kawasaki ZX-10R sportbikes in the black and gold colors of his 1972 F1 Championship-winning John Player Lotus 72 car.
AMA Supercross: 2012 Arlington Results
Tue, 21 Feb 2012Defending champion Ryan Villopoto won his third consecutive AMA Supercross race in Arlington, Texas, but the victory was overshadowed by a season-ending injury suffered by one of his main challengers Chad Reed. TwoTwo Motorsport Honda‘s Reed trailed Villopoto in second place for the first six laps at Cowboys Stadium. Disaster struck on Lap 7 however as Reed crashed hard in the whoops.
