Kawasaki Other description

Bike is being relisted due to non-paying bidder. Also note:-bike can be delivered to Vintage Days at Mid-Ohio!

Nice 1970 Kawasaki F3 Bushwacker 175. 6490 miles. Bike starts, shifts, and runs excellent!  Purchased as shown. Ride as is or an easy restoration. Was going to do that, but have other projects to do and may start back Vintage racing this year.  4 Speed Neutral at the bottom, 4 up.  Two original Kawasaki keys! Grips are Ourys. Clear Ohio street legal title.  Engine # is F3E09490 VIN # is F3-109901. Does not have oil injection bottle. Cable is there. Runs pre-mix. I also have the original air cleaner for the bike and a few extra parts.
Handlebars and exhaust should be chrome. Someone painted them flat black. I think it can be power washed off. Does start to scrape off with fingernail.  Tank and side covers have been repainted. Not original paint. Also front forks have some silver over-spray on the top area, again can be scraped off. (you never know what previous owners do or why) Inside of tank-super clean, no rust. Original exhaust baffle can be found on Ebay or Partzilla. Seat is missing strap. Also looks like handlebars and seat can be found on partzilla. Cool little bike. May be picked up in the 45176 zip code, or I will work with shipper of your choice.
Thanks.

Kawasaki Z250 SL Launched In Asia

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

Kawasaki, today, launched the long-awaited streetfighter version of the Ninja 250 in Asia. Dubbed the Z250 SL (Super Lightweight), some may call it the baby Z1000. That nickname, while fitting, is already reserved for the standard Z250, which draws a middle ground in terms of riding position (and amount of plastic) between the Z250 SL and the supersport Ninja 250.  Designed for the sports-minded urban commuter, Kawasaki heralds this lighter, racier alternative to the Z250 as the perfect companion for someone looking for Ninja-based performance, quick, nimble handling, and aggressive ergonomics.

A Weighty Issue

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.

Tricked Out ZX-14 to Debut at IMS New York

Fri, 09 Jan 2009

Among the many bikes set to be unveiled at the New York Cycle World International Motorcycle Show next Friday, is a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 tricked out by Steve Kehler at Tricked Out Custom Cycles (TOCC). This ZX-14 sportbike was created as a rolling testament to the success Rickey Gadson earned during his 25 years of motorcycle drag racing. Gadson, an eight-time world champion, will join Kehler for the official unveiling of the bike during the New York IMS show.
