Kawasaki CONCOURS description

Are you looking for a great motorcycle that has the power of a sport bike and the comfort of a cruiser? Well look not further! This bike has been garage kept and well maintained. Only 32K miles on this classic design. It is great for commuting to work, touring, or weekend getaways. You will not find a better bike for the price.

The Kawasaki Concours, known as the ZG1000, is a 997 cc, six speed, four cylinder, liquid-cooled sport touring motorcycle with shaft drive. The bike can reach speeds over 120 mph, offers nimble handling and -- with its full fairing, tall screen, twin locking saddle bags, and 7.4 US gallon fuel capacity-- is suited to cross-country two-up touring.

Kawasaki introduced the Concours in 1986 into the USA the year after the slightly faster (137 mph) BMW K100LT at less than two-thirds the price of the BMW machine. Both bikes were tested by the magazine Motorcyclist, which came out in favor of the Kawasaki concluding that it was "the most practical, useful and competent motorcycle made" and "superior to the BMW in almost every aspect imaginable."

The Kawasaki rider scored his series-leading eight and ninth victories of the season, giving him a commanding 37-point cushion over Eugene Laverty and 38 points ahead of Sylvain Guintoli. The Best Racetrack You’ve Never Heard Of

Sat, 08 Nov 2008

Last week I had the opportunity to ride one of the best tracks in the world, but you’ve probably never heard of it. It’s called the Autopolis International Racing Course and is located in northern Kyushu, Japan, a 90-minute bus ride from the nearest city, Kumamoto. Autopolis is a wonderfully flowing, 2.9-mile track that rises and falls like a symphonic overture, with inclines that range up to 7.2% uphill, 10% downhill.
