KTM EXC description

This is an original classic 2-stroke enduro bike.

The following parts have zero hours/miles:

  • Front and rear brake pads
  • Front and rear wheel bearings
  • Rebuilt master and slave hydraulic clutch
  • Rebuilt carb with all new jets, gaskets and hoses
  • New Answer triple clamp
  • New Enduro Engineering Roost Deflectors
  • New Pro Paper fat bars
  • New grips
  • New kick stand bolt
  • New chain
  • New silencer packing
  • New spark plug
  • New air filter

All fluids (Oil, brake, clutch and radiator) are new and fresh.

As you can see from the pictures, in addition to the above items, I have the original seat and plastics installed, an Enduro Engineering skid plate and an Acerbis front disk guard. Included in the sale are the original bars, original triple tree, a set of aftermarket plastic, a never-used Moose replacement medium seat with new cover and a heavier rated rear shock spring.

The bike is also wired for a Trail Tech gauge.

The only problem is that the lights occasionally do not work. There is a short behind the number plate and I do not want to deal with ordering two small specialty screws.

The sale includes all original documentation, portfolio, tool kit and a copy of Dirt Bike magazine from 1999 with an article featuring the bike. I'll even throw in the track stand.

Cash is king....

Fri, 03 Jun 2011

KTM announced it will return to Grand Prix road racing in 2012 with a new racebike for the new 250cc four-stroke Moto3 class. The Austrian manufacturer discontinued its Grand Prix road racing program in 2009, withdrawing from the 125cc class (pictured above is current Moto2 racer Marc Marquez racing for the KTM factory team in the 2009 125cc class). With the Moto3 class set to replace the 125cc class in 2012, KTM will return with a new racebike.

2014 AMA Supercross – Houston Results

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

Ryan Villopoto ran mostly unchallenged for his fourth win of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, taking advantage of an early spill by Ryan Dungey. The win strengthens Villopoto’s hold on the points lead as the Kawasaki rider seeks his fourth-consecutive championship. Villopoto took the holeshot in the Houston main event and never looked back, leading all 20 laps for the win.

2014 HRC Dakar Team Announced

Thu, 30 May 2013

Today at Mugello, ahead of this weekend’s MotoGP race at the famous Italian racetrack, Team HRC unveiled its 2014 Dakar team and motorcycle. Interestingly, one person many thought could be a Red Rider this year after leaving KTM, Cyril Despres, will not be riding a Honda next year, instead joining Yamaha’s Dakar effort.   However, HRC’s team still features five accomplished riders: Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Sam Sunderland (UK), Javier Pizzolito (Argentina),  Joan Barreda (Spain) and Paulo Goncalves (Portugal), all of whom will be competing on the CRF450 Rally.
