1915 Indian Big Twin that has just undergone an engine tune and drive train
review by Steve Huntsinger to make it road worthy for any tour. The 1915 Big Twin marked the last Indian motorcycle to carry the original Hedstrom F-Head engine and the cradle-spring rear frame. This is an excellent example of the top of the Line Indian Motorcycle of 1915! MILEAGE: Minimal mileage on the rebuild and older restoration. PAINT: Good quality paint in Indian Red. It is an older application and shows nicely. SHEET METAL: Sheet metal is correct for a 1915 and it in great shape. CHROME: The majority of the shiny stuff is nickle that has just been refreshed by professional buffing. MECHANICAL: This engine was just reviewed by Steve Huntsinger and it is ready for the road. Steve did a complete tune up and service. He also had the mag freshened up, and adjusted the brakes and clutch. First kick bike if you know the procedure! WHEELS & TIRES: 28 x 3 Dunlop Motorcycle Clinchers mounted on clean painted rims with stainless steel spokes. These tires are new but old and I would use them for riding. TITLE: Sold on a Bill of Sale. A California Title is available for an additional fee. Engine # Engine# 77G414 Frame # N/A NADA: This motorcycle would rate as a 1- on the NADA scale. ACCESSORIES: N/A This is a great investment vehicle! More info available at ClassicMotorcycleConsignments on the internet. |

New Indian Thunder Stroke 111 Engine in “Spirit of Munro” Streamliner
Mon, 11 Mar 2013To mark the unveiling of its new Thunder Stroke 111 engine, Indian Motorcycle revealed a custom-built streamliner motorcycle dubbed the “Spirit of Munro“, equipped with the new Indian engine. The “Spirit of Munro” is a tribute to the Munro Special, the 1920 Indian scout that set a new land-speed record in 1967 at the Bonneville Salt Flats for under-1000cc motorcycles. The Munro Special was famously depicted in the 2005 film “The World’s Fastest Indian“, starring Anthony Hopkins.
