Comes with original bill of sale starts & runs well for its age. 1st place at Oley 2015 survivor meet, bike is well known in New Bedford MA where it spent most of its years. bike has been started & ridden minimum of once a year every year. tires & exhaust changed years ago. I changed out front & rear lenses, silent kicker, side stand & ignition coil mostly for safety. any & all paper work & old parts go with sale. Bike bought new with solo seat, dealer installed Buddy seat & saddle bags. New Indian Thunder Stroke 111 Engine in “Spirit of Munro” Streamliner
Mon, 11 Mar 2013To mark the unveiling of its new Thunder Stroke 111 engine, Indian Motorcycle revealed a custom-built streamliner motorcycle dubbed the “Spirit of Munro“, equipped with the new Indian engine. The “Spirit of Munro” is a tribute to the Munro Special, the 1920 Indian scout that set a new land-speed record in 1967 at the Bonneville Salt Flats for under-1000cc motorcycles. The Munro Special was famously depicted in the 2005 film “The World’s Fastest Indian“, starring Anthony Hopkins.
Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India
Tue, 03 Jul 2012Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.
Hero Moto Unveils Leap Hybrid Scooter Concept, Claims 235 MPG
Fri, 06 Jan 2012Indian manufacturer and former Honda partner Hero MotoCorp has unveiled a new hybrid scooter prototype at the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi. The Hero Leap runs on a series hybrid powertrain with the battery-powered electric motor providing most of the power and the gasoline engine acting as a range extender, charging the battery and supplying power when the battery runs low. Hero claims fuel economy of up to 100 km/l, which translates to an eye-popping 235 mpg.
