Indian Chief description

This very unique Indian was built by one of the nicest and most competent restorers in the antique motorcycle hobby. His reputation for meticulous work and attention to detail is well known. We both believed when we found this motorcycle that it was a former police motorcycle that had seen many years of service and had accumulated several years of parts along the way to keep it in service ready condition.  The most difficult decision as we started to prepare for the restoration was what year to call it. It was decided that most of the parts were 1936 so we called it a 1936.

Every part of this motorcycle was taken apart, inspected and rebuilt to the highest standard. Serious buyers/bidders will be given the opportunity to view the 45 page  book that documented the restoration. After the restoration was completed, we started the motorcycle and put less than 20 miles on the motor and it functioned flawlessly. The headlight is obviously incorrect. The motorcycle has been in a museum for six years and is kicked through monthly but never started.

The Police equipment that is included. The red spotlights are not connected but complete. First Aid Box, Fire extinguisher and working siren are attached as you can see. I will include the front fender "pedestrian slicer" that reads State Patrol.

Just before the motorcycle was taken from the shop in Torrington Connecticut, a customer accidently spilled something on the front fender which  as you see caused some fading. I will supply the paint to redo the front fender if you like.

The motorcycle is for sale locally. Interested parties are welcome to call 603-279-6387. I will assist your shipper in every way possible but it is the buyers total responsibility. I prefer a bank check or cash in person. A $500.00 non refundable pay pal deposit at close of auction.
