And a few models such as Honda’s NC700S and X, Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 and CRP’s Energica were unveiled without heavy prior fanfare, but gasps of surprise weren’t heard when the wraps were taken off Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer, Husqvarna’s Nuda or MV Augusta’s F3 675 among others, whose existences were revealed months in advance of the show. 2012 Husqvarna Nuda 900R Unveiled

Husqvarna has pulled the wraps off its first streetbike, the new 2012 Husqvarna Nuda 900R. Named for the Italian word for “naked”, the Husqvarna Nuda 900R is powered by a modified version of the engine from parent company BMW’s 800cc parallel Twin. Husqvarna hasn’t announced specific final numbers yet, but claims the now 900cc powerplant puts out over 100 hp and more than 73.8 ft-lb.

40,000 bikers to descend on Garmisch-Partenkirchen

40,000 bikers are expected to head to the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen during the first week of July for the annual BMW Motorrad Days event and you can join them. Billed as a celebration of all things two-wheeled and BMW, the event gives you a chance to test ride all the current BMW Motorrad and Husqvarna models and see stunt-riding world champion Chris Pfeiffer and meet the BMW World Superbike riders. BMW have organised a UK rideout to the event and with over 200 places taken so far, time's running out to book your slot.
