Honda Valkyrie description

2000 Honda Valkyrie Standard - Customized.  Custom paint job, Corbin Beetlebags, Corbin side panels, Cobra exhaust, custom rims, converted to dual headlights, Ultimate King Bigboy seat with backrest, windshield modified to fit dual headlights, new Cobra swept floorboards, brakelight modulator, lots of other chrome added to bike.  Tires are almost new.

Had the carbs professionally rebuilt early this summer in preparation to ride, but I just haven't had the time due to my job.  Hate to see it sit and waste, so hoping someone else would like it and ride the heck out of it!  I would ride it anywhere. Mileage may increase slightly if I find time to ride it a little.

Here's the fine print:  winning bidder to pay a $500 deposit via Paypal w/i 24 hours of auction's end.  Full payment due w/i 7 days of auction's end.  Buyer can pickup or if to be shipped, all costs and scheduling are the responsibility of the winning bidder.

There is a loan on the bike, so it will have to be paid off before I can get the title.  Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Thanks for looking at my auction!  God bless!

Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
