UP FOR BIDS AT !NO RESERVE! IS A 1970 HONDA Z50 MINI TRAIL. THE BIKE IS IN VERY CLEAN ORIGINAL CONDITION AND HAS BEEN KEPT INSIDE ITS WHOLE LIFE. IT RUNS AND SHIFTS WELL. THE CHROME AND TIRES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL PAINT ON THE TANK HAS SOME GAS STAINS, SEE PHOTOS. THE REAR FENDER HAS SOME MINOR DINGS BUT OVERALL THIS IS A VERY NICE EARLY MINI TRAIL TO RESTORE OR RIDE AS IT IS. THE BIKE HAS GOOD COMPRESSION AND SPARK. THE LIGHTS WORK. Marco Simoncelli tribute CBR1000RR
Mon, 16 Jul 2012At Mugello Honda graciously gifted Simoncelli's father Paolo with Marco's RC212V race bike from last season, along with this tribute-livery Honda CBR1000RR in his honour and memory.Unveiled in a special and emotional ceremony the Fireblade was designed by Aldo Drudi and was inspired by the memorable Super-Sic colours. The bike will be auctioned off on eBay to raise money for the Marco Simoncelli Foundation. Mugello marked the first Italian round since Simoncelli was tragically killed at Sepang last year.
The New Fastest Electric Motorcycle Lap, With John McGuinness + Video
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Earlier this week, John McGuinness won the single-lap TT Zero electric motorcycle race at the Isle of Man TT aboard his Mugen Shinden San. In the process, the 21-time TT winner smashed the old lap record of 109.675 mph, setting an average speed of 117.366 mph from a standing start. To put that in perspective, McGuinness’ teammate, Bruce Anstey, aboard a sister Mugen, set the outright lap record earlier this week aboard his Honda CBR1000RR superbike of over 132 mph.
Rossi Finishes Second to World Champion Loeb at Monza Rally Show
Mon, 28 Nov 2011Valentino Rossi is back on the podium. Not a MotoGP podium, mind, but for a rally car race at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy. (Post updated with video.) Driving a Ford Fiesta RS with co-driver Carlo Cassina, Rossi won two of nine stages and finished second overall to eight-time World Rally Car Champion Sebastien Loeb at the 2011 Monza Rally Show.
